Honeybears

I am in the Honeybear class and my friends are in the Hedgehog and Zebra classes at Broadacres. This is our first year in the Senior Section of the school and we will turn four this year.

We never know what fun is in store for us every morning, until the 8.30 bell rings and we go into class. There are always different activities and we are learning how to cut, colour and even do easy worksheets. We make amazing collages, 3/D pictures, and have already made almost life-size body images as well as weaving safety nets to go over our picture of a swimming pool.

On Wednesday we enjoy Baker man. We all get a turn to bring some cakes or biscuits from home. We wear a Baker man hat and play shopkeeper to the rest of the class. I love it when it is my turn as I get to make lots of mess with my Mummy in the kitchen.

We are also old enough now to go to the school library on Thursdays. We can borrow a book for a week and I always choose the dinosaur books.

I go to ballet lessons and ride the school horse, but my friend likes swimming and pottery days the best. We have a new horse because Nautical Mile our old one, died of cancer. That is why we have to wear our hats in the playground all the time.

Well, I can tell you this is the best school ever. We have so much fun and make such good friends as well. I love the geese, rabbits, horses and donkeys, but the pigs are my favourites. We are allowed to go into the paddock with our teacher and have a really good close up look.

I must go now because I can hear Anna ringing the bell for bus time and my friend and I are going home. Bye Bye.

Their teacher is Jolene Young.
