Lambs

This class is for children who turn two during the year.

Their teachers are Yvonne Choveaux and Florence Montsho.

It can be a little scary when we first join the Bumble Bees class because it is often our first year at school away from our mums. It doesn't take us long to settle in because our days are crammed full of fun and interesting things to do and we get lots of hugs and kisses from our teachers and our friends!

We have fantastic fun visiting the farm animals because we are allowed to touch and feed them. We also build amazing sandcastles, go for nature walks, play on the swings and jungle gym, and most fun of all - get really messy.

When we go inside we are very busy collaging, painting and drawing pictures to decorate our classroom with, and gluing models to take home. But school can be hard work too because in the Bumble Bee class there is a lot to learn. We learn to do very grown up things like share our toys with our friends, go to the toilet all by ourselves, drink out of cups and feed ourselves. We also learn to sit still for short periods of time so that we can learn new songs to sing and rhymes to recite to really impress our mums and dads with.

WOW! What a lot to cope with. But we find it easy because our environment is so secure and stable that we are equipped emotionally and academically to face our pre-school years with confidence.
