This Grade 0 class is for children who turn six during the year.

Their teacher is Nina Zweifel.

Daily Programme

In Grade 0 at Broadacres, we work extremely hard to prepare ourselves in every way for our first year at Primary School. We cover all areas of academic, emotional, social and normative development which are all vital if we are to cope with the major changes we will have to face in Grade 1.

When we are not exercising our gross muscles doing physical activities or playing games in the playground, we may be inside out classroom exercising our fine muscles by learning how to write letters and numbers correctly.

When we learn about the sounds of the alphabet (so in Grade 1 we can learn to read) we use LETTERLAND in conjunction with traditional programmes.

But this is only a small part of our work. We also learn about Science, History, Geography, Drama and Music. We master perceptual, numerical, creative and life skills. Phew!

As you can see our days are crammed with learning but we have a great time and lots of fun as well!
