- No child is allowed in school for 3 days when still taking antibiotic medication.
- If a child comes into school with medication he/she should be referred to the office.
- In certain circumstances medication may be admitted and administered by the school asthma pumps etc.
- Parents will be responsible for signing the necessary consent form register in the office EVERY DAY.
- The medicine is to be kept in the office and administered by the office and signed off each day
- When necessary, Aftercare will be authorized to administer & sign off medication.
- Bus children must send in a written confirmation in the notebook and a photocopy left in the office. Teachers should remove any medication from the bags and place in the office and enter the information on the consent form.
- Teachers shall confiscate any medication that appears in the school bags.
- The crèche are to keep administer and maintain their own confirmation register. Any medication from the crèche for aftercare children, is to be brought and kept in the office for collection at the end of the day. Medication that is to be administered in the afternoon is to be noted on the office register and signed off as appropriate.
