Broadacres Staff - Shannon Byers

I was born in Zimbabwe in 1972 and came to South Africa when I was 6, attending Rivonia Primary and Sandown High School.

Whilst at Sandown I started with an afternoon job at the "Round Nursery School" in Rivonia, which started my love of teaching.

I left school in 1989 and commenced at College Nursery School before joining Mrs. Beeby's group of Nursery schools spending various periods at Rivonia, Sandton & Fourways Nursery School where I was Head of Department and Grade 0 teacher.

I joined Broadacres in April 1999 taking the Giraffes Group (Grade 00), but moved to take the Wise Owls - (Grade 0) class in 2003.

I have three children Jordan, Jenna & Erin.I love decoupage and other creative activities.

I remarried in October 2000 to Peter Byers and we live in Douglasdale.
