Experience the magic of our nurturing preschool learning community where curiosity and a love of learning bloom.
Our little ones flourish in our community where parents and school become family. Open communication and giving and receiving consistent feedback help to form strong relationships with all our parents.
Just like a loving home, the Preschool learning community is a safe, nurturing, happy space for each child who attends our beautiful school. We pride ourselves in the love that children experience when they are in our care.
Enrich their school day with fun.
Nurture a happy, confident child.
Develop a natural love of learning.
The Broadacres Academy Preschool follows the ISASA guidelines to the Early Childhood Development (ECD) curriculum. This ensures that the correct developmental milestones are reached. In Grade 000 and 00, we expand on the ECD Curriculum by including modules from the Key to Learning programme. In the 4 and 5-year-old classes, Logic, Story Grammar, Maths and Visual Spatial modules form part of the Preschool Curriculum.
Broadacres Academy Preschool promotes the development of Arts and Culture in our children. They love performing on stage and we give them every opportunity to do so.
There is always time for creative activity. The children love painting, drawing, singing, dancing and playing instruments. We expose the children to the Colourstrings Music Programme.
These activities create a diverse, holistic curriculum in which all aspects of the child are developed.
At Our Little Village, we’ve created a haven where children belong, a home away from home to provide the peace of mind parents need.
Our in-house service has its own experienced staff, delightful, safe settings and are packed with age-appropriate, fun-filled activities that focus on the social development of the children in our care. This service beautifully compliments the Broadacres ethos of kindness and care, and is an extension of the learning that occurs during the academic day.
We pride ourselves on our exceptional safety standards, wonderfully prepared meals during our clubs and a close and protective bond with the children.
Aftercare is available to the Preschool children at no additional cost and applies to the 14h00 or 17h00 preschool offering(as per the fee schedule). The afternoon programme runs until 17h00 each day. Closing time is at 17:00 with gates closing at 17:30. It includes a cooked lunch, constant structured supervision and a light afternoon snack. Note that there is no aftercare on the days that we break up for half-term and end-of-term.
Holiday Care is run internally by Our Little Village in all our school holidays, with minimal closure times.
Parents are responsible for transport arrangements to and from campus.
There are various external transport options available, and should you wish to explore these, please feel free to get information from the Admin office.
We do not allow students to be dropped off or collected by Uber transport, unless a parent or guardian is present.
Our Bus service will only be offered for children in the preparatory school and high school for the time being. There is a shuttle that runs between the Chartwell and Syringa Campuses for convenience if older siblings are based at our Chartwell campus.
Children learn through play and physical activity. Outdoor and play activities are emphasised because of their direct link between gross and fine motor skill development in growing children. Each child will get one half an hour Buzzi Body session per week, which is included in the fees. Additional extra murals are offered at an additional cost.
